Well folks, what exciting things have I been up to this weekend? Well after having found
The bag lady where people submit images of their handbags and contents I rushed home and popped everything out of my Chloe Paddington to take a photograph to send to her, along with a list of the contents. I have sent that to her this morning, so I will need to keep my eyes peeled to see if my bag ends up on there!
Friday night, after much procrastination, Peter and I finally got to the gym for a workout… it’s been a while and I’m eager to be getting our monies worth out of the membership. Then Mum, Peter and I went off to the pub, where mum treat me to a lovely rum and peppermint drink… that suitably warmed me up for sitting canalside was the night drew on. The only thing I was really disappointed about was that we could’t bring Bailey … and that’s not because dogs aren’t allowed in the pub, that is because until he has completed his course of vaccinations which is next week now he can’t go out in public places. The poor little fellow is limited to our back garden, and I think he is getting fed up now. Poor fella.
Saturday, mum and I went for a wander into town. We wanted to check out the internet as mum wanted to see what was on
Jewells4heaven . Then we head off up to SweetP’s so that I could show him how to clean out the hamster cages. We didn’t stay long though, partly because I don’t like leaving young Bailey in the house on his own, he gets lonely. So off we head home, and it was time to bath Bailey… oh what fun and games. At first he didn’t like the water and jumped out and ran around the garden, finally I managed to get him back in the bowl and this time he stayed there for me to shampoo him properly. After which he got out and rolled in the grass :o( anyone would think he enjoys being messy lol. But after he was dry and brushed and looking even more beautiful, we put his new blue collar on him, what a baba.

Saturday night Peter was coming round to watch Wuthering Heights… the original old one with Merle Oberon and Lawrence Olivier… what a heart renching film, mum and I were in tears.
Sunday, Peter and I had planned for a while that we were going to his cousins house in Warwick for lunch. And so we did. She was lovely and her house was lovely… She served us a lovely lunch of smoked salmon and mixed leaves, followed by jerk chicken and roasted vegetable followed by summer fruits pudding. All served with Rose cava and rose wine, yum yum. It was really nice, it seems I’m meeting more and more of Peters family lately, I really like Margaret, she’s lovely.
On the way home Peter and I decided to pop into the
Saxon mill which is a pub we have never been in before on the outskirts of Warwick. We were in awe when we head through the doors at the back and out onto the terrace which had a mill in the middle of it, a river running by it, a bridge further back over a tremendous wier took us across to some beautiful corn fields overlooked by some ruins of what seemed to be a manor house, although unfortunately we still haven’t figured out how to get to them. Both of us were most distraught that we hadn’t brought our cameras with us, for this was a wonderful photo opportunity, the moral of the tale being always be prepared. Anyway, we decided we would come back later with mum and Peter’s mum and Colin for drinks.
Unfortunately when we got back to Coventry though Liz and Colin didn’t come :o( mum still did though so we went and got Peter’s dog prudence. I had hysterics laughing at Prudence in the back of the car, she sits like a person… again though we couldn’t yet bring Bailey, I can’t wait until I can. Anyway, we had a lovely evening, and I had my fill of good old Bombay Sapphire. But now it’s back to work again… only 5 days until the weekend!
