Well hello….
My first day back in the office because I was in London yesterday ‘on business’ :o) after my conference I was desperate to have a wander down Bond Street, but the weather was so so bad and after the late night Sunday I was so so tired, that I just headed straight for the train. Am I regretting it now? Of course I am!
So what joys did my weekend hold? I borrowed SweetP’s laptop over the weekend, because (top secret information) I’m writing an ebook… now I won’t tell you what the ebook is about just yet, but once it is done I will be selling it on
Ebay and I might even try to sell it on my blog for those of you who want it… so that should be fun, but I envisage it might be at least a month and possibly more before it is all done. Especially as I don’t actually have that much time for writing it. So, yes, did some work on the ebook, well made a start, and Saturday I went out shopping in the day. SweetP’s daughter was with us, so it was a lovely girly shopping day… I even managed to get us both new Louis Vuitton purses, and my mum got one too… who would think that you would just find Louis Vuitton purses for sale while walking around Coventry hey?
Saturday night, we decided to keep it cheap. Having spent £5 on tickets to see Anne Savage on Sunday (more about that later) we didn’t want to go to town Saturday night. So mum, Peter and I went to our local pub where much to our delight, it was karaoke night. I did my old faithful, heart of glass by Blondie, Peter did Dirty old town by the Pogues and me and mum did an Elvis track together… I had a really good night and drank lots of Guiness and a bit of Archers with Lemonade… it feels as if it has been a long time since I had a night like that… I’ve just been so preoccupied with my money (or lack of it) lately that I have forgot to have a life… although I might need to increase my overdraft this month… I’d hope not to though because I get my bonus next month yey!
Sunday, what a surprise I was out shopping again :o) and just to keep up with the designer bargains, I bought a lovely Calvin Klein top and a Pringle skirt… now I won’t divulge how much I paid for them, but they were both huge bargains, so I was smitten.
Sunday night was Anne Savage. Wearing my favourite hotpants and my new red top, I headed over to Peter’s so we could go to his local for a drink first… it was packed because of the football match earlier. Then we headed to Earlsdon, which in stark contrast was not packed, and then on into town… for what I was looking forward to and hoped to be a great night … were we ever in for a disappointment. The tickets we had bought were for a nightspot called GH2 which is located above the glasshouse bar in Coventry… when we got in there, it smelt of feet, :oP how disgusting! Add to this the fact that there were only about 20 people in there, all under the age of 20 I would guess, and what do you have? A smelly dive!!! Anyway, desperate to see my favourite DJ we hung on in there… 11 o’clock passed, she still wasn’t there, 12 o’ clock passed, she still wasn’t there, at 12.30am, half an hour before the club was due to close, we gave up the ghost and went home, disappointed, done out of our £5 and adamant that she was probably never even booked for the dive… We learned our lesson though, we won’t be going back there again in a hurry!!!
