Lady Louise's A-List Life

 venomous tongue

Having had poems previously published, I have had a request to post some of my poetry... I wont make a habit of this because I get a little shy believe it or not about other people reading my poems. But here is one, I hope you enjoy:

venomous tongue,
Things I did not mean to say.
All consuming regret, tortures me
Will not go away.

Two people I love more than any
Yet both of them I hurt
With feelings I'm not really feeling
With words unkind and curt.

I wish I could erase,
The words which caused such sorrow
I wish I could start again, but
too late for now is tomorrow.

The words so cruel passed my lips
Where only kisses should dance.
If only these words were forgotten
but now I fear not a chance.

These words are harder to speak
than those which caused such pain
but how I am so sorry
I'll never be hurtful again.

 Shallow

Am I shallow? I like designer labels, I like pretty things, and I like to try to look good, I like other people to look good and my surroundings to look good, I like to seem intelligent to others and as though I really know things. I think people like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are cool. I hate to be undermined and for others to have better clothes/shoes/bags/cars than me... but on the flip side, I know that the least important things in life are your appearance, your possessions and how 'intelligent' you seem, there will always be someone prettier, who owns more and knows more... what is important is to love and be loved, to experience life, to make life a rollercoaster ride of fun experiences, not restricted by what 'society' would have you do (within reason, obviously the rule of law still applies), or what you 'think' you should do... the important thing is to experience life, get out there and enjoy it, don't restrict yourself to your 'safe' armchair... and I think I do that, so am I shallow?

Sorry, I will resume to my frivolity on my next post, not meaning to get all profound and out of my depth

 Popular blogs

Something I never really do is visit the blogstream homepage. To be honest, I don't have time, I usually come straight to my blog, read the comments, post a message, go to my bookmarked blogs... but just lately I've been wanting to look at other writings out there, some people are so talented at writing/photography etc, it just makes me wonder how come they aren't more recognised. Why is that? I know some fab writers, my sweetp for one, so why do some writers get noticed and others don't? is it the luck of the draw? Not what you know but who you know? Who knows????

Something I've also noticed about blogstream homepage is that there is a bit for most popular blogs... but who decides whether the blog is popular or not? is there a voting system? If not why not, we are the bloggers therefore we should decide who we like... shouldn't we?

body shop, pirates and camp chairs

The weekend which has just passed, passed with little event. Having spent all of my money on the previous weeks excitement, I am now counting down the days until Friday… Pay day!

Saturday was kind of a family day. I popped into town and took Peter’s children around so they could buy him a fathers day (or farters day as the Germans like to say … chuckle!!) gift. He ended up with a fragrance gift set from Body Shop… You can tell that the body shop has recently been taken over by l’oreal… it’s become all really commercial, they offer to sell you loyalty cards and the like. Long gone are the days when me and my friends would buy white must and folders for school with AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING emblazoned across a black background in white letters. When we would stop by after school just to buy a dewberry bath oil ball with the last 20p we had. No, there is definitely a difference! Anyway, thank fully I did pick up the right gift set and Peter is happy with his fragrance.

That evening it was all back to his again for a DVD… the league of extraordinary gentlemen… of course not until we had watched the repeats of Grace’s eviction from the big brother house though. I wonder what I would be like on Big Brother… I bet I’d be really annoying lol. Not as annoying as some of the current contestants, like Nikki who just wants to make me scream… but annoying nonetheless with my constant singing, posing, silly ideas and of course… always being right :o) Anyway, we had a lovely evening watching the DVD… then I went home.

Sunday, after popping out and purchasing 5 photo frames to put pictures in that I would have used in my exhibition, had my exhibition gone ahead, and after dinner. We (me, mum, Peter) went to Spencer park, where there was a free opera. The Pirates of Penzance. It’s a shame that that weather wasn’t too great for this outdoor event, but it didn’t totally let us down. We sat out on our camp chairs (camp as in tent not as in Graham Norton) drinking wine and enjoying the performance… I have to say I’ve never seen the pirates of penzance before, it’s quite funny isn’t it? Anyway, a nice way to end the weekend I thought…
