The weekend which has just passed, passed with little event. Having spent all of my money on the previous weeks excitement, I am now counting down the days until Friday… Pay day!
Saturday was kind of a family day. I popped into town and took Peter’s children around so they could buy him a fathers day (or farters day as the Germans like to say … chuckle!!) gift. He ended up with a fragrance gift set from Body Shop… You can tell that the body shop has recently been taken over by l’oreal… it’s become all really commercial, they offer to sell you loyalty cards and the like. Long gone are the days when me and my friends would buy white must and folders for school with AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING emblazoned across a black background in white letters. When we would stop by after school just to buy a dewberry bath oil ball with the last 20p we had. No, there is definitely a difference! Anyway, thank fully I did pick up the right gift set and Peter is happy with his fragrance.
That evening it was all back to his again for a DVD… the league of extraordinary gentlemen… of course not until we had watched the repeats of Grace’s eviction from the big brother house though. I wonder what I would be like on Big Brother… I bet I’d be really annoying lol. Not as annoying as some of the current contestants, like Nikki who just wants to make me scream… but annoying nonetheless with my constant singing, posing, silly ideas and of course… always being right :o) Anyway, we had a lovely evening watching the DVD… then I went home.
Sunday, after popping out and purchasing 5 photo frames to put pictures in that I would have used in my exhibition, had my exhibition gone ahead, and after dinner. We (me, mum, Peter) went to Spencer park, where there was a free opera. The Pirates of Penzance. It’s a shame that that weather wasn’t too great for this outdoor event, but it didn’t totally let us down. We sat out on our camp chairs (camp as in tent not as in Graham Norton) drinking wine and enjoying the performance… I have to say I’ve never seen the pirates of penzance before, it’s quite funny isn’t it? Anyway, a nice way to end the weekend I thought…
