Lady Louise's A-List Life

 Jenny, mum and me

I don't think I put this one in before, but when we went to the movie premier this is a photo of me, mum and Jenny outside in Leicester Square... My mum is in the middle, I'm the tall red head! My hair looks much better there though! lol!

 Birthday cake and the libertine

Yesterday was Peter’s birthday! Bless him, he had a really bad week and we hoped that his birthday would be the end of it, but while he was in work he took ill and ended up having to go to the doctors after work, he really isn’t having much luck at all lately, and I worry about him so much! He’s the kindest person and just lately nothing goes right for him, maybe he has some bad feng shui going on just lately! Anyway, so lastnight he had come to our house, and I had all his presents from me and mum ready for him, and also, not being a very good cook, I went to the shop and bought him a cake, I decorated it in candles and sweets and it looked really pretty… his face was so sweet when I brought it out singing happy birthday, I’m sure he went a little misty eyed! I do love him! He was pleased with his gifts too, I got him a new bag for his camera kit and a green leather passport holder, mum bought him a travel toiletry set, a keyring and a funky pen with a built in radio… he will now have something to listen to on the train down to those meetings in London! After he had some of my homemade leek and potato soup we headed off to the pictures to see ‘The Libertine’. The Libertine was really good, it has Johnny Depp in, which is a good start, but it’s about the 2nd Earl of Rochester. He is a bit of a dandy, he’s around in the time of king Charles, you know the time of the cavaliers. Anyway, he was a relative of the king and was totally debauched, he was going round shagging men and women and drinking copiously. He falls in love though (the worst mistake for a whore master) with an actress and his whole life falls apart…. It really is worth seeing. I like those historical sort of films, especially as it had Johnny Vegas in (who seems to be in everything lately) and is hilariously funny! I would really recommend giving it a viewing… but be warned only go if you aren’t easily offended, parts of it are more like soft porn! So I’m back to work today, and back to applying for new jobs too! My love isn’t in as he’s still poorly, and it’s only 9.30 and I’m missing him already. He called me so we can meet for lunch, so I guess I better find somewhere!

 Tash, me and Sharika

I mentioned at the weekend that I had gone down to celebrate Sharika's birthday, well this is a picture of me her and my other friend Tash on my birthday night out in October. She is the one who is standing on my left... so that's the right of the screen... in pink! I'll have pictures of her birthday night out on here soon, well when I download them! I'm the one in the middle.

 Career, boredom, MENSA

I really need to make headway on my career, I have applied for 2 jobs and not even been given interviews. They were both management and both needed experience, I think that is why I didn't get them. I do have a fairly good CV, and a degree... which I am beginning to think isn't worth the paper it is printed on, let alone the £10,000 student debt it left me with! So I am doing things to make it look even better:

1. I'm teaching myself how to use microsoft project so I can put that on my CV,

2. Mr M has encouraged me to look into MENSA and see if I could join because apparently that would look good on my CV too,

3. I keep checking out the voluntary options on the web to see if I can get any managerial experience free!

I'm not sure at this point what else I can do. Peter and I have been talking about starting up our own business, but I'm afraid that until I achieve this move up the career ladder, I won't be happy to start up our own thing either! I know it is a silly thing to try to chase, and that my life seems to be full of me chasing objectives. I'm sure I only did a degree because a teacher told me I would never manage it 'not academic enough' apparently... but once I do this, I'll be happy, and still I should be in a position to look at branching out by 26 - 27.... so I'd still be a young entrepreneur!
