Lady Louise's A-List Life

 Gucci rings, bonfires and love!

Hello bloggers, I had a fab weekend. I’m sure you will remember that there were times last week when I was feeling a bit down and things were getting on top of me, but I must say the weekend really perked it all up, and had I not got a raging sore throat and a cough then I am sure today I would be feeling fine and dandy! Friday night I just stayed in with my mum, we had a nice quiet night in because I knew that I was due to be going shopping in Warwick with sweetpea the next day. So Saturday morning, he came to pick me up (well it wasn’t strictly morning, but usually at the weekends I wouldn’t dream of getting out of bed until about 1pm so to be picked up at 12pm is morning). First stop was Leamington because it is his birthday at the end of the month and I wanted to get our theatre tickets, we’re going to see Seasons Greetings at the Loft in Leamington. So anyway, we stopped off in Leamington and of course while there, it would be rude not to pop along to house of Fraser, while we there I introduced him to the joys of La Prairie skin care range, we slathered ourselves in the testers as at around £80 a tub, we can’t afford it. Anyway, in the warehouse part of the shop sweetpea bought me an early Christmas present, hotpants. These ones! first he was only going to allow me to have them for Christmas, but luckily I smiled a lot and pulled puppy dog eyes at him, so I can have them to wear out to Gav and Sharika’s birthday night out. Think I’ll go for a bit of the Cabaret look and wear them with fishnet tights! So from Leamington, we went onto Warwick to look for a ring in an antique shop for his sister’s birthday. There were a few rings we looked at, but the nicest was the one I chose, it is a medium sized blue topaz surrounded by diamonds on a gold band… very very nice. I’ve never met his sister as she lives in Australia, but I suspect she will like that! While I was there I took the liberty of buying another antique postcard of Lady Godiva (the only antique postcards I collect) and also a sterling silver money clip which is one of the presents for Peter for Christmas. Then he suggested we go to Stratford upon Avon and have a look at the Gucci ring which I have been after and he said he would buy. It’s gorgeous, 18ct gold band ring with the Gucci emblem embossed into it, I’m drooling. Anyway we went to James Pragnell where the jewellers is, and he ordered it for me so hopefully it will arrive before Christmas and then Christmas day I will have a lovely new ring to wear… speaking of which mum asked me lastnight what I want for Christmas but I couldn’t decide, will have to have a think about it… if anyone knows what I need for Christmas can you let me know? I’m so indecisive it’s unbelievable. Anyway, after some lovely chips, we drove back to Coventry and he dropped me off to get ready for the night out! We weren’t going anywhere super posh, I just wanted to find a bonfire, with it being bonfire night and all! So I stuck my jeans on and a t-shirt! Not my usual going out style! But anyway. I picked him up and off we went, first stop, the Shepherdess, but I had got the days wrong and there was no bonfire than night, it’s such a boring pub that we said we’d go into Corley and try to find one! So off I went up the dark country lanes, trying to squeeze past country bumpkins in big 4x4 monsters, which I hate anyway, but I do appreciate that if you are in the country they might be a necessity so I won’t get on my soapbox about that. After trying about 4 different pubs and finding out either they had no bonfire, or you had to have tickets for it, we went back into Coventry to the Stag and Pheasant, but my god that was boring!!! So we got back in the car and went over to the Karaoke at Wolston… where Peter ended up getting his gander up (as he kept saying) with some bloke in the pub! Nonetheless we stayed there until closing, me and mum sang so much that I think I can attribute my sore throat to it! Anyway, at closing we headed back into Coventry again and to the 4 provinces…. An Irish bar! It was ok as an end to the night, although when we came out Peter was so drunk he maintained that he loved me and loved mum and … what a muppet lol! Bless him! Yesterday though I kept fairly quiet, I ran into a girl I went to school with in tesco and bought some new undies in Marks and Spencers, but aside from that I had a fairly quiet Sunday… it wasn’t enough though to escape the sore throat I have today! Damn it and I was doing so well with all the vitamin C!

 Coventry

I just thought that seeing as this blog is all about me and my life; it may be useful for you all to know just a little about my hometown… Coventry! Well it’s not that exciting, I have to tell the truth, it’s not LA, or London, or Vegas, or anywhere quite so glam, but I try to glam it up as much as I can in this little midlands city. Coventry is located well, here Coventry So it’s not near to any sea or countryside, or anything like that, although it is surrounded by some lovely little Warwickshire towns and villages and countryside. Coventry used to be a lovely medieval town, but during the war it was bombed pretty badly, and our lovely cathedral was destroyed. Then during the 1960s, they built Coventry back up but didn’t do a very nice job of it, it is mostly grey concrete and … just no not nice at all. But over recent years it has had loads of investment, and it starting to look pretty nice. The bars are getting much better (once the Specials penned the song Ghost town, about Coventry), but now we have Tin Angel and the likes, Tin Angel so it isn’t too bad anymore… although the town seems to be falling into despair again with all the chavs featuring highly in the city centre. It can be nice though, you just have to know where to go! You can see more about Cov at this site Coventry.

I've told you before about my photography antics I am sure, well when I got a new digital camera, these were some of the pictures of flowers which I took. Now if I get round to staging my exhibition in 2006 these won't form the basis of it, but I might be tempted to include some of them! a nice bright flower A lovely white rose, my favourite Light at Stratford black and white flower
