Lady Louise's A-List Life
Friday October 7, 2005
Then there is the Christmas party, I’ve arranged it at coombe abbey www.coombeabbey.com which is a lovely big old Abbey (as the name implies) just outside of Coventry, such grand surroundings. I’m having a complete nightmare trying to organise all 26 people into letting me know on time if they are going or not… but it will all be worth it.
Then I want to catch up with some of the girls for a bit of gossip and good food at the end of the month. We do this regularly and so I am eager not to end up in the same places as usual, I’m trying to find somewhere where we haven’t been before, I have a few options.
See trying to be Coventry’s very own IT girl is proving rather tiresome… but I love it!

It’s been 2 days then since I last wrote to you my blogging fans… actually I don’t know if I have any blogging fans, I know that I have had a fair few hits, but as far as fans go… do I have any? It might be that you all read me once and then leave never to return again! I think that the majority of the people on here live in America, (from what I have read anyway); you might not actually be interested in reading the ramblings of an eccentric young English woman!!! In that case I’m simply writing to amuse myself aren’t I? Just because I like looking at the words ‘Lady Louise’ on a webpage… very narcissistic (is that how you spell it?) of me! I’d really like to know if any of you are returnees and what you think of my ramblings… even if it isn’t good, I still want to know… or do I? I mean what if it upsets me? Ah well, tell me anyway, I’m sure I can deal with it!
So what have I done since I last blogged, well I went a played badminton with my boyfriend lastnight… I’m hoping that as a total gym phobe that a spot of badminton on a weekly basis will tone me up a little, at 6ft tall and a size 12 (ENGLISH 12) I’m not really over weight, but yes a little toning wouldn’t hurt at all. He also suggested joining a dance class, but I’m not sure I have time… we have time! Monday he goes to a guitar class, Tuesday I go to an aromatherapy class with my lovely mum, Wednesday we usually go the pictures to see a film because it’s orange Wednesday so you buy one get on free on tickets, Thursday badminton then Friday and Saturday is a mixture of nights out, nights in, shopping and sleeping (and other things), then Sunday is the day I recover for the week ahead! So where am I going to fit in dancing as well? Perhaps I’ll give it a go in the New Year, but then as he is often down in London for work, we’ll probably end up having to cancel a lot anyway.
So far today it’s just been work, work and more work; I nipped out at lunch however and bought myself a rather nice new mug! It’s red with 2 ladies on it drinking cocktails… some scallywag at work keeps pilfering my mug with Libra on it and I end up having to drink my tea out of some useless corporate mug…. Damn it.
So on to the weekend (my this is a long blog, stop me if you get bored). Tonight is a quiet night in with my loved one, watching the ring on video and practicing my new found massage techniques on him. Saturday we’ll be off to Warwick and Stratford to have a look at the shops and then Sunday, well Sunday is a big day! I’ll be taking my mum to London to go and see a movie premier in Leicester Square, the tickets have arrived today and because my personal friend managed to get hold of them for me, it turns out we will be sitting very close to Colin Firth and Emma Thompson! But really I’m hoping to meet Jonathan Ross, he’s hilarious. I’ll have my digital camera at the ready to pap all those stars (I doubt the pap will want a picture of Lady Louise, don’t you?) and then I’ll see if I can hobnob my way into one of the after parties… who knows!
At least your thinking, the end of my blog, well see you all Monday. xxx

What do the girlies talk about when we get together. That’s what my boyfriend asked me today after I returned from lunch with one of my best girlfriends. He seemed to think that he would be the main topic of conversation. You know that we would sit in the pub for a few hours talking about how wonderful he is… what a sex god and a beautiful hunk of man he is (which he is and I love him dearly, but I don’t want to talk about him all lunchtime, my friends would get bored). Could you imagine? They would stop attending my functions and the lot… the only thing worse would be to totally ditch my friends in favour of my man… something I just wouldn’t do!
So what did we discuss at lunch? Well we looked at the photographs of the night out at the weekend, we were all looking pretty fab even if I do say so myself! My friends look so glam on a night out! Then we moved on to the talk of Christmas presents. Christmas is slowly sneaking upon us and although I would love to have my sleak Smythson Christmas cards already prepared and waiting to go, the truth is I haven’t even started. Until today that is, I made my first Christmas purchase just before lunch, that is it, the Christmas season is officially upon us! After talking about some typically girly things, shopping, men, birthday gifts, Christmas gifts etc. We left! So to all you men out there who wonder just what your girlfriends/ wives have to talk about… don’t worry, it isn’t you!

I love ebay! I know that is a rather strong statement to make, but I am sure that I might even need counselling to get over my ebay addiction! The thing with it is that I love buying things, there is nothing better than a Saturday afternoon/evening spent trawling around the BullRing in Birmingham, wandering around selfridges and looking at the Karen Millen section, followed by agent provocateur (My Peter's favourite section), then the Gucci handbags and the Jimmy Choo shoes (oh if only I could afford it all). Or going to the mailbox to look around Harvey Nichols... See I am a label addict! Hi My name's Louise and I love labels. Label slut I suppose you could say. To some it might seem a little chavish, but coming from a modest background where money was tight and clothes tended to come from hand me downs from cousins (only child) labels seem to me something to aspire to! Something to set me up there with the likes of Paris Hilton, Tara Palmer-Tompkinson and the other IT girls I so wanted to be like... I say when I was at school, but it's pretty obvious that dream never faded.
You see this is why I love ebay, for someone who is like me, someone with a label addiction/admiration call it what you will, someone with a title to live up to (Lady) and someone with limited funds... in fact my funds are so limited that I am now trying to budget and be sensible with the little cash I do have. Ebay provides a wonderful opportunity to get those things you want without breaking the bank... well sometimes. You know those writing sets from Smythson, a Gucci ring, a Louis Vuitton bag, perhaps a Von Dutch T-shirt, or a wheels and doll baby dress... the list is endless. Perhaps ebay merely caters to the materialistic generation, but I'm not ashamed to say I am part of that... lets hope ebay keeps going strong though so that I can keep up my image at least a little longer!

Well folks, yesterday was my birthday, another year older! 24!!! I had a bustling weekend though to celebrate the passing of another year.
Saturday night I had a night out on the town, Coventry town isn’t all that wonderful and usually I plan my events a little better… but luckily the company was good, my mum was out, my boyfriend and a good crowd of friends. Also one of the girls I went to uni with, a very good friend of mine, drove all the way up from Bedford, just to celebrate with me. Her boyfriend was there too. It was really good as they hadn’t met my boyfriend yet, and they all seemed to get on like a house on fire… I wonder if it is because they are all Sagittarians… half man half horse as Peter likes to say lol! So Saturday night was spent downing lots of wine and cocktails, and celebrating with my friends, my green silkl Karen Millen dress and my Louis Vuitton shoes looked fab, even if I do say so myself… what ashame some oaf had to stand on my foot… and in those beautiful shoes too!
Sunday… my actual birthday … was spent nursing an almighty hangover before spending the evening with my lovely boyfriend, my mum, and his mum and her partner. The problem with birthdays is they make you reassess where your life is don’t they? I found myself writing a letter to myself to read in a years time, telling me all the things I should have achieved by then, I won’t share what is in the letter, hopefully I’ll still be blogging next year and can share then!
I will share what I got for my birthday though, playboy slippers, coco chanel perfume, Gap jeans and some lovely jewellery from friends… all in all a great birthday. Next year though I think I’ll throw a big party!
