The fair is in town this week and everyone loves the fair surely. As I am working towards staging an exhibition of my photographs in Coventry (United Kingdom) next year, I thought what a fantastic opportunity it would be to get myself over to the fair at night and take some great moving light images. I phoned my boyfriend (also a keen photographer) and he met me there with all my kit and I set up and was ready to go. To my surprise it seems that the fair is no longer the cool place to hang out on a Friday night... even when it is 80pence a ride. It was almost empty. But I worked away, running off 36 exposures of colour film in record time... and seeing as there were already 2 rolls of film at home waiting to be developed, 36 shots was going to be my limit. With mum and lover boy in tow I walked around the fair taking images with exposure times ranging from 1/125 up to 30 seconds long. And my god was it worth it. Eager to see the results (as I had not taken shots like this since I was studying photography) I ran to Beryl Houghton on Saturday and got 1hour processing! I guess it's a little old fashioned of me to still be using film, but I much prefer the quality. Anyway... WOW! The whirling lights have come out as exciting streaks of light, the quality is fantastic, the colours so vivid and where there are people (rarely) their silhouettes complement the scenes amazingly. Where there are no people, there is a wonderfully eerie sense of lonliness! Really lonely but bright fairground scenes. I just hope some of you are around when I stage my exhibition, if this is the way all my pictures are going, then they are well worth a viewing!

I don't really know what to write as my first blog post. I do have another kind of blog I suppose which is http://ladylouiseg.bebo.com. I suppose that is less of a blog and more of an address book really. Who knows this one might make me famous.... or maybe not. I'll start with an introduction. I'm in my early 20s and live in England! That's vague isn't it? I work and have lots of interests... photography, poetry, fashion... especially fashion. I have a lovely boyfriend... he's tall, dark, handsome, sexy, funny... sorry I am going on aren't I? So anyway, hopefully this blog will be lots of fun for anyone reading!
